# Losing Track of Device When I Disconnect

I followed the guides and created a device via MQTTBox. I published some measurements and can see the datapoints without problem.
When I drop the connection and reconnect even though I change nothing with MQTTBox options, my measurements do not go under the same device. They create new devices with different externalIds.
How can I continue to publish my result to the same device?

Found the problem. It was due to MQTTBox adding timestamp to the end of ClientId. So each time I disconnect and reconnect I got a new ClientId. Just unchecked “Append timestamp to MQTT client Id?”
