Custom "Asset properties" widget on device manager

Hi Community,

Since the upgrade to the 2025 version on our platform, I cannot find where I can custom the Asset properties widget.

Here is the previous widget :

And now I don’t have the “Active alarms status”, “Availability”, “Conncection”, “Firmware”, …

I can manage the fragment to display on one device by clicking on “modify widget”, “modify”, “add properties”.

Is there a way to manage / customize this widget for all the devices ?

Hi Aodren,

what do you mean by “I don’t have the “Active alarms status”, “Availability”, “Conncection”, “Firmware”,…”? Do you mean these properties disappeared from widget’s view and config, and cannot be readded via “Add property”?

As for customizing widgets across multiple devices, this is possible via dashboard templates shared among devices of the given type (see Working with dashboards - Cumulocity Release 2025 documentation ).

Thanks for your answer. Sorry that was not clear, I meant that I can set this on one device but I want to make it like a global settings for all my devices.

I will try to use the dashboards templates !

I cannot find the checkbox to “apply dashboard to all devices of type XXXX” when I create or modify the dashboard … Do you confirm that this is available on the 2025.010 version ?

Hi Aodren,

yes, this feature is available in the 2025 release.
From the screenshot it looks like you are trying this on a group dashboard?
Please note that this feature only works for device dashboards and the device must have the type property assigned.

Here is the view on a specific device (with a type property), and I cannot find the checkbox to extend the dashboard to all device sharing the same type with this one :frowning:

Hi Aodren,

from the screenshot I see you are trying to edit the “Info” dashboard’s settings in Device Management, which is a restricted dashboard (at least in that version).
However, in the 2025 release, you should be able to create dashboard templates for devices in Cockpit.
The 2026.0 release also made it available in Device Management (https://cumulocity.com/docs/2026/change-logs/#ui-c8y-1023-1-0-show-dashboards-as-tabs-in-device-details).

Hi,

I wanted to customize the dashboard of my device in the “device management” windown not in the cockpit … So you confirm that this is not possible in the 2025 version ?

Hi Aodren,

sorry, in that case you indeed won’t be able to use this feature to customize the Info dashboard across multiple devices at once in Device management.
In the 2025 release, the Info dashboard is created from a default setup for each device, and then each instance is edited separately.

What if I upgrade only the front to the 2026 version, it will work or not ? Or maybe downgrade to the 1018 version when it was not using dashboards in device manager.
