Why does device status “Push connection” appears gray (not monitored) or red (offline)?

After device registration this “Push connection” must be initiated from the device, then it turn to green (online)

It is needed if C8y should send operations to the device, e.g. if a mobile phone vibration should be started by C8y

If a device is connected to the platform via MQTT/realtime (long polling) so that the device is able to receive operations
