Extending "add data point" in "Data explorer"

What are you trying to achieve? Please describe it in detail.

Is it possible to extend the “add data point” frame in data explorer to view data points from another source? MAybe with the help of a microservice? Or do we need to create all widgets again from scratch to add data points from other source than internal database?

Hi Helmut,

the widgets are designed in a way that they will only request measurements from the Cumulocity API and not from an external system. So this would mean, that you would have to rewrite these widgets.
