I’m trying to follow the cumulocity tutorial, however I run into an issue:
I am not able to receive any measurements from my phone (tried multiple phones)
What I did:
Cumulocity Cockpit → Home → Connect Phone
I scan the barcore with the cumulocity app on my phone, my phone receives credentials and is logged in, however the dashboard says failure to register device.
The phone shows up under
Cumulocity Device Management → Groups → Phones
It is shown online, I have the app open, the sensors avtivated, I can manually send sensor alarms through the app and I can see them online.
But there is no device in Manage Devices - All Devices - no filters
I can’t choose any data points from the phone either.
Can someone point me to another way I can explore to resolve the issue?
can you post a screenshot of the dashboard with the error and probably also the console log of the browser?
Which instance are you using? eu-latest? Which smartphone are you using? Android or iOS?
It’s weird that the phone shows up in the Cockpit but not in Device Management. Could mean that the device managed object wasn’t created correctly due to conflict or something.
Can you open the search in the top right of device management App and just search for *? What is listed there? If there are multiple phones you might want to delete them and try to re-register your phone.
I am using the current cumulocity playstore version 1.2.0 on my Android 16 Google Pixel 7a
If with instance you mean the cumulocity setup, I do not know how it was set up since it’s supplied by our university. Is there somewhere I can look that up?
I cannot see any device in the device manager - all devices with no filters applied or when searching for *.
How long does it take to show all the green checkmarks in the app?
And is the browser still showing the progress animation in the “Waiting” button until this happens?
