It’s hackathon time!

I’m happy to announce our 4th public Cumulocity Hackathon.
September 21st + 22nd, 2026

This year the Cumulocity Hackathon will be at our Office in Leipzig. Explore exciting and trending topics like AI + IoT and use provided tooling to bring your idea to life!

:bullseye: Challenges

Expect three innovative challenges:

  1. :robot: AIoT Solutions: Leverage our AI-enabled platform to build awesome, end-to-end solutions, prototypes, or demos.
  2. :desktop_computer: AI Tools: Build components and tools that extend the AI capabilities of our platform—such as Skills, MCP-Servers, management tools, microservices, UI plugins, or even full agents. Pitch them in a live demo!
  3. :puzzle_piece: AI Puzzle: Solve pre-defined, complex problems using the provided toolset while leveraging Cumulocity and AI.

:man_raising_hand: Who can join?

The Hackathon is open for anybody who has an interest in Cumulocity, IoT and AI but mainly for our customers, partners, and prospects.

We are also explicitly welcome every creative and innovative mind, so if you are a student or working for a start-up, please also apply.

Ideally you have a tech profile & history, working as a developer, solution architect or UX expert and gathered already some knowledge about IoT, Cumulocity and AI.

To make sure we have great & innovative mixture of participants, all registrations will be reviewed and a separate confirmation mail will be sent out in August 2026.

  • Hands-on experience with Cumulocity, the industry-leading AIoT platform.
  • 3 innovative challenges at the intersection of AI and AIoT.
  • Networking opportunities to meet Cumulocity experts and connect with fellow hackers.
  • Free catering, including drinks, lunch, and dinner.
  • Skill building by working with the latest technology and industry trends.

One month to go until our annual public Hackathon in Leipzig, and I honestly can’t wait! :rocket:

We still have a few seats left — but registrations are reviewed on a rolling basis and confirmations go out in August, so don’t wait too long to apply.

Whether you’re into building AIoT solutions, extending our platform with AI tools like Skills, MCP-Servers, or agents, or tackling the AI puzzle challenge — there’s something here for every kind of hacker, from seasoned developers to curious students and start-up folks.

Expect 1.5 intense but fun days: hands-on work with the platform, sharp minds tackling real problems, great food, and a room full of Cumulocity experts happy to jump in and help. Oh, and prizes for the winning teams too. :trophy:
